EV (Expected Value) = what your $10 entry is actually "worth" right now, assuming every alive contestant has an equal shot at winning.
Why it matters: If you picked someone nobody else picked (a "sole pick"), your EV is higher because you don't split the $210 pot. If 2 people picked the same contestant and they win, each winner only gets $105.
🎯 Consolation Rule bonus: Unpicked contestants aren't wasted probability! If an unpicked contestant wins, the pot goes to whoever picked the first eliminated player (cascading). This adds hidden EV to those "consolation" entries.
Green = good bet (your $10 entry is worth more than $10 in expected payout).
Red = crowded pick (your $10 entry is worth less because you'd split the pot).
As contestants get eliminated, the odds shift and EVs change. Sole picks become even more valuable!
